Napkin Technique
author(s):carebears
Craft lesson has never been able to spark great
interest in me... But... I LOVE napkin technique! It is
soooo FUN and definitely much more easier than SEWING...
Materials needed:
- Wooden boxes, ceramics or glass
- Special glue (not sure of its name but the picture is below)

- Acrylic paint (LOTS and lots of white)
- Cheap large surface paint brush
- Sponge
- Hair dryer
The EASY steps:
- Select some beautiful napkins. Cut out the designs.
- Coat the surface of your box with acrylic paint using sponge. Preferably with a light tone colour.
- Dry with a dryer. Repeat step 2 and 3 at least 3 times.
- Remove layers of napkins. Decide where to put the cut out designs.
- Dip brush with special glue and paint on surface of napkin. Dry with dryer.
A very fun activity to do with the little ones! Will definitely try it out with Zyeera during the December holidays.
Eliz's work... NICE!
There is also the fabric painting which can be done on any fabric with a fabric paint. I went to Mustaffa Centre (My one stop centre to find anything. It's 24 hours! Very useful if you suddenly find something missing on the night before microteaching) and bought a set of 15 colour fabric paint and a set of fabric crayons. Both only add up to $14.95. Cheap stuff...

I enjoyed painting the butterfly on book cover as well. But I
haven't had the chance to take a picture of that. Instead i have some pics on the teacher's sample. Anyway, I proposed to my
GESL group to do fabric painting as one of the activity in the camp we will be organising. I'm sure the children will enjoy it!
